Default MacBook Pro With Retina Display...

Is awesome. I use my third gen iPad a lot and going from it to the 1920X1200 screen on my Dell left a lot to be desired. The resolution on the iPad spoiled me. After having the new MacBook for a few days, I'll never be able to go back. You won't understand until you use it and photo/video editors will love it. If anyone out there is hesitating, don't. You won't be disappointed.

I'm still trying to justify the price. And no drive. And 750gb the biggest SSD it comes with. Yes, I know I can get a superdrive for cd/dvd's, and I know I can get a portable HDD for more storage, but I don't want to cart around a whole bunch of crap with it. Thats the idea of a portable computer, no? Whats the point of a laptop if you have to carry a backpack full of stuff for it?

For me, I can't remember the last time I used a DVD or CD in a computer so that's no loss to me. I'd prefer a little more storage but at the same time, you have the cloud and having a backup drive at home for more storage if needed is no big deal.
Everyone has different needs and yes it's pricey but worth it to me. Use it for an hour with that display and you'll be ruined.

I'm sure the display looks wonderful, but the the soldered RAM, glued in battery, and proprietary SSD will keep me away from this one.
