Thread: mobile security

TMo offered the mobile security coverage for my phone. I have the option to DL the app.

what it supposedly does is once my phone is lost or stolen, I can activate the security feature on it by sending a coded text to my number (via a computer) and it would record the GPS location.

thoughts? I am being charged for something I have not agreed to yet.

there are some free apps that do the same check out Where my droid, I use that and lookout. Lookout is no longer free, was at one time, and it also backs up your info. There is also a device called phone Halo that 30.00 that will allow you to track it and shut it down.

Think Lookout offers a "lite" version and premium. The free version is still on the market.

I second using that and Where's my Droid.

I use the lite version of lookout. Seems to be the best that i cant see.

plus i can back up my photos. so thats nice.

Lookout is not available for my Nuron. however, there is a similar one but it would set me back $20.
