Thread: My 1st (and prolly ONLY) photo contest!!!

So I typically don't do this crap. It's a photo contest so to speak. Well, not really. I took the photo, you have a chance to win a badass print from it.



What better way to celebrate my surfing photos from South Carlsbad being featured on the back of the iLife '11 boxes along with landing a spot in the iPhoto '11 demos on every Mac in every Apple store worldwide than to offer up a contest of my own. The winner gets this fatty barrel shot from inside a wave printed on a 16x23.5 fine art acrylic from Millers Professional Imaging. One winner will be picked from random. To enter just got to this blog entry.

RinkRat - I think it would be really cool if we had some sort of photo contest like this perhaps every few months...? I know some of you DSLR shooters hold your own theme contest but perhaps it would be cool if anyone can win something that didn't even shoot the photo.

Anyone have any ideas? This could be fun!

(I guess this would be different if The Kings were still sucking and Brian Willsie was scoring against us just for revenge.)

Done that. Interest was high at first, but waned after a couple months, though.

Just out of curiosity: Why would you allow someone who didn't shoot the image to win something for it in a photo contest?

i think that he means that it would be cool to give away a print like he is doing, not that someone can just enter a photo that they find online.
