Thread: My desktop disappeared!

This thread is a good example of why I ****ing hate mac users.

I worked on it all day yesterday and it's still infected. I went to the spybot site and uploaded my logs and they are supposed to respond with a fix hopefully. I ran a keygen mostly out of curiousity to see if it would work and have learned a lesson for sure.

Another thing I'd recommend is using No Script for firefox, just in case.

I don't hate them. I laugh at them with their heads in the sand, believing their OS is impervious to attack.

Right, because Time Machine never destroys a file (or drive, seen that as well) when a user unplugs a drive because they have no idea that a file write / read is in progress.

Look, Macs are great machines, and it is a great operating system, but it is written by humans and therefor fallible, to say that it is totally impervious is disingenuous. I have seen my fair share of Mac disasters.

I really wish someone would write a piece of software to cripple macs just for that reason and maybe they'll realize that they're just *******s.

Mac users are on par with someone walking into the operating room and laughing at the distraught family as one of their relatives is on the brink of death.

I will chime in with get a mac, then you wont have to worry about any of the crap you are still worrying about. Spyware or viruses have never been on one of my macs and I have owned 4.

Are they out there, I have no effin clue. All I know if that in the years I have been using a Mac I have never had a problem with either of those two things. Wish I could say the same about all the PC's that I used to own and still own but I cant.

This is coming from a "user" of both Macs and PC's and Windows ands OS X.
