I think that at Newegg you can use Bing shopping cashback and save even more. If you haven't joined Bing shopping cashback program, then get on it!
Cool. I just went and bought it. I already formatted and partitioned it into 2ea 100gig volumes. I dumped the back up software that came with it because in some reviews it was giving the HDD grief and is only limited to a 30 day trial.
I currently do not have msbackup installed on my rig. Can I do a 100% mirror from msbackup? I want to mirror both my and my wife's disks. For that matter is there a better backup/mirroring program out there that is cheap or even free? Im going to shoot over to Major Geeks and see what they have....
Seagate has the best drives IMO. They go through the most thorough QA/QC process. Less likely to get a dud. Western Digital has a great RMA process and its real easy to return a drive, but come on, you don't want to have to RMA a bad part.
As for backup, you can use something like clonezilla, which is free.
Can't go wrong with a Western Digital. I've had 4 so far in various machines and using one in a built enclosure and they've never ever given me a problem.
