Default Need advice on a External HHD....

Just experienced a almost total fail on my part. I knocked my laptop off the table and it froze for almost 2 days. For some reason it started to run again today. So before it completely craps out, I need to back the HD up on to a second, external HDD. My wife would KILL me if I lost all the family pics and her music...

Can someone lead me in the right direction concerning a good, mid priced ($100 or less) 250-350 gb drive used strictly for backing up 2 PC's???

iOmega? Seagate? or are they pretty much all the same at this point...

check around you can find a 1TB drive on sale for around $100 these days some even with an Esata connection. I use dealmac.com when looking for deals I'm sure others might be able to point you to other tech saving sites.I have had no problem with my 500gb seagate drive and can't wait to get a TB or larger drive.

Here ia a Gold Box deal for today only. 1T for $90 I might jump on this. If it doesn't show as $90 check the right side and buy it from Amazon.

My local Fry's (Las Vegas) has SimpleTech dual-compatible 1TB USB drives selling for $87. Hard to beat. Costco also had 1.5TB USB Seagate Windows-only for $119 ($139 at Fry's).
