New Apple iPods Announced

The touch is pretty cool - it's basically an iPhone without the phone function. I really like the built in Wi-Fi. The only drawback is there are only 8GB or 16GB models available so video storage kind of goes out the window.

I like the flash drive aspect of it, just not enough space. I like having my entire music library on my iPod.

I'm in for a 160gb classic. I just lost my 60gb video but I've already blown by it's capacity with a library nearing 100gbs of music.

Investors were not impressed by Apple's announcements today. Over 5% decline.

They also dropped the price of the iPhone by $200 on the top line, and are phasing out the smaller iPhone. So the 8 gig now only costs $400.

As for the Touch iPod... with such a small hard drive, I just don't think it is worth it. I have over 30 gigs of music in my G4 iPod. I might upgrade to a 160 classic, but if I wanted the touchpod, I may as well go get an iPhone.
