I can't wait to get mine. I just got an email saying it shipped and will be here tomorrow. Just got my case for it in the mail today too.
"Hockey won't hold still to give you a better look. You wouldn't want it to anyway. It's the action that makes the possibilities endless."
haha, I got a kings case as an anniversary gift for my husband, too. I got myself a custom made one that I designed finally. I've been using my old 3GS case on my 4 and it's too loose.
as far as my review goes, it's an awesome phone but definitely not worth upgrading from a 4. I know my husband's happy to have gotten rid of his 3 though. that's the bummer about these is within 3-4 yrs, you need a new one to manage all the apps and updates without it running like a computer circa 1990. really awesome the things you can do on a relatively up to date iPhone though. I think if I upgrade from my 4 some day in another year or two, I'll get a 64gb (or better?) model so I can store more music.
Just picked up a 64gb iphone on Sprint, coming from an HTC EVO. My experience with Macs has been limited to an ipod touch as well as two macbooks. I know the OS, but am not so familiar with the marketplace apps...
Iphone Texting and the camera functions beat the ***** out of the Evo like a redheaded stepchild, but I already knew that would be the case. The hardware is superb. I haven't really experimented with the voice command stuff. One thing I liked about my Evo was how easy it was to set up SIPdroid and make calls over wifi, will have to tweak and find the iphone equivalent.
So far so good, web browsing seems fast enough. I kept 4g off all the time on my Evo since it destroyed battery life, so no complaints here. I'll update as I get some more experience with it.
I've used voice command a few times and it works like a dream.
Millions and millions of these things now sold and not too many complaints, other than slow data speeds on Sprint and some security concerns about Siri being able to do things on a locked phone (unless you change your settings).
Pretty impressive launch. I will probably get one, but I'm still deciding whether to stick with ATT or switch to Verizon. They tell me I can keep my legacy unlimited data plan and discounts if I stick with ATT. On the other hand, their network sucks in LA and will probably get worse if they try to integrate it with TMobile.
i've had at&t for years and never had a problem so i'm not about to change carriers, but i'm in OC.
someone explain to me what exactly this siri thing is, please. i'm not familiar with it and not sure if i'm using it unknowingly or haven't used it yet. i do like the texting (imessage) business better.
my husband's new case came today just in time for our anniversary. (i also got him a box set of single malt scotch, but this one is a surprise )
I'm one of the few that upgraded from the 4 to the 4S and I couldn't be happier.
The phone is much faster, but the biggest selling point to me is the ability to talk and text!
I get a lot of text messages (and emails) while I'm in the car. I love that you can have them read to you, and reply with your voice. I've never been one to text and drive, but I usually arrive somewhere and sit in my car for 15 minutes replying to my messages.
Spending $200 to upgrade might seem like a lot, but you can easily sell your iPhone 4 on ebay for $200 or more. I gave my 4 to my daughter, so it worked out for both of us!
Also, I still have the unlimited data plan on AT&T, and that transfers to every iPhone I get. So if you have it, you don't lose it if you upgrade your phone. That's probably the biggest reason I stayed with AT&T instead of going with Verizon.
Now, where did you guys get those cool Kings cases? Time to hit google!
oh wow, I didn't know the 4s could do that. I'll let my husband know.
I've had AT&T all this time but when I upgraded from the 3GS to the 4, I lost the unlimited data plan. we're paying for a 200mb plan but might downgrade now that I use wifi most of the time.
I got the kings cover from amazon. just put in "Los angeles kings iPhone 4 case".
I didn't see any white ones so I'm not sure where mmmmmcammy got hers.
