Holy crap. They are still hard to get?
Nintendo says they are still in VERY high demand and are trying to make as much as they can.
There was another article that also says that Nintendo has been holding the Wiis on purpose, by not selling it. Something about them already selling enough for the Fiscal Year through March 2007. But that article did say Nintendo will start to release more Wiis starting in April, since it's the start of the new year in terms of sales.
And for the PS3... they are going to stop selling 20GB because well, they're not selling too well. Sony will try to just sell the 60GB one, but people still probably won't buy em until the price drops.
Another note. If you need a DS Lite, or are planning to get one... GET IT NOW. Before April 22nd. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is coming out then, and based on reports from Japan. About 2 million copies that were sold on the 1st day, people brought about 500,000 DS to go along with the game. Not saying there will be a shortage here, but better safe than sorry.

Might sound silly to ya, but it's no secret. The Pokemon franchise is really at the top of the charts.
Super Mario Bros for the Original Nintendo Leads the way with 40.24 million copies sold.
#2 Pokemon Red/Blue/Green sold 31.37 Million copies
#5 Pokemon Gold/Silver sold 23.10 Million copies
#10 Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire sold 15.13 Million copies
#14 Pokemon Yellow sold 14.64 Million copies
Remember, this is ALL the games ever released for every system.
And I found the number of copies of Diamond and Pearl sold in Japan, and it's been out since Sept 28, 2006... it has sold 5,151,525 total (so far).
In other words. Expect another 6-7 million copies to be instantly sold here in the United States when it comes out next sunday.

Whats really funny is that you can't find Wii's anywhere, and yet every Target I go to I see at least 4 PS3's
i camped out at a target at midnight the very first night in order to get one. i guess it takes some determination and no life :-)
Finally found one...thanks!
The 20GB model retailed for $499.99 not $399.99. Just trying to keep you honest.
ON THE WII FRONT: According to the Best Buy ad tomorrow, there will be a 12 system per store minimum.
EDIT: I scored one of the 17 they got at the BB in SCV. Also, one of the BB guys said that most stores are expecting 25-30 at each either Monday or Tuesday morning.
