Iv'e been using PC's since the mid 80's and have only gotten one maybe two spyware's on my machine's because I didn't listen to that little inner voice that said don't click on it. They were also easily removed.

My computers didn't get infected with that crap because I'm not stupid, and I switched to a Mac for a myriad of reasons, but mainly for security reasons that I'm not going to get into.

When people ask me now "What Computer to Buy", I ask them what they are going to do with it first. Sometimes I tell them to call Apple, sometimes I tell them to call Dell. It depends on their use, and how scared they are of switching to Mac. Mostly, my answers are those for selfish reasons because when it breaks, I want them to call the manufacturer for support, not me.

I'm also not one of the "Latest and Greatest OS" clones that have to geek out on the newest version of everything, including OSX.

Isn't the rule on Windows to wait until the first Service Pack is released? If you're running OSX, you should wait until the 1st or 2nd major OS release update.
