omg...so annoyed with my samsung now. Granted, i havent read up on the manual, but when the screen turns off or "sleeps" the only way to check anything (time, if i have a new text, etc) is to either open it or turn on the power button.
also, the send and end keys are right where i hold the phone to talk...ive already hung up on 3 people!
the dude was also talking to me about the new Voyager...it comes out for Verizon on the 21st. I should prob read more on that too.
What do you want out of the phone?
You're dealing with three different beasts there. One is running WM6 while the BB runs on the 4.2 BB OS. (I think) The LG Voyager is the latest and greatest in terms of features with the touch screen and snazzy UI rumored to be mostly free of all of that crap that Verizon loves to pollute their phones with. It reveals a full QWERTY pad, so if you plan on text/emailing a lot, that's the way to go. Also, the BB does not have a camera. Keep that in mind.
Stay away from Samsung. They're only good for TVs.
HTC 8925 (Tilt) FTW.

Oh I see that your carrier is Verizon. Never mind.
Hey Aero, here is the leaked datasheet on the Voyager. The phone looks awesome and has much of the functionality that you enjoyed with the enV and all of the appeal of the iPhone and a PDA. The phone looks absolutely awesome.

Is this considered a PDA/Smartphone? I dont really need Windows on my phone, but more of the PDA features with a calendar, etc. I like that the voyager has the same keyboard as the as the enV too.
Anyone know how much the Voyager will cost with a new two year contract? I'm wondering if I should go into Verizon today and get put on a waiting list if needbe, because I only have 30 days to decide if I want to keep this Samsung.
The biggest thing that bugs me so far is when I want to check the time, i have to press the power button and its really small...same goes if I get a text -- I hear it, but the screen doesnt light up or anything.
It looks like it's going to be $299 with a 2 year contract.

Rumor is that it will be $249-299 with 2yr. This isn't a smartphone, IMO. It's a....uhhh...cool phone with heavy multimedia features. It should come with a 2mp camera and full HTML browser. It's an ENv on steroids, so it's perfect for you if that was an old phone.
Please clarify on your time and text needs. I know LG phones have an option to beep every few minutes if a new text has not been read.
I believe the phone can be preordered. I think its street date is 11/19.
Check out this website:
Click on the Verizon section. You find out all you wanted and even some that you didn't want to know about Verizon phones.
I have the BB 8800 (on AT&T/Cingular). I've owned WM devices for my previous two phones and I'll never go back after having the BB. After dealing with slowness, lockup and pulling the battery out to reboot with the WM devices, I'm so happy to have a phone that just plain works.
I mainly use my phone for corporate email (with a BB Enterprise Server pushing me email), calendar, and voice usage. I don't take pictures with my phone or listen to music on it, so those options were never a consideration for me.
The only trouble I've ever had was when the trackball got dirty and I had to pull it out to clean it. It was like cleaning one of the old school roller ball mice, but on a much smaller scale.
Hold out for this one.
Touchscreens on WinMo are annoying - at least to me. BlackBerry is limiting and frustrating from the business customers I have that try to use it.
I have the GSM version of the previous generation of this phone and it is AWESOME.
