Default Phone line length for DSL

So while I'm switching from Verisuck to DSLExtreme and having problems connecting, the DSLX tech is saying that the max phone line length should be 10'.

Right now it is at least double that and I never had problems connecting to Verisuck. I just don't buy that max length at all.

    What do you say?

Agreed. DslX has been great, til I moved and had to use Verizuck for a while.

Now I can't connect. Do you use a router? You might be able to help me out. I've tried just about everything.

btw, the max length of a phone line for dsl is all hodge podge. right now I'm on a 50' line. the difference between the short and the long ones proved to be too similar in speedtest.net. maybe by 10kb/s. I'm on a 3m/1m connection.

you are probably right. I'm guessing our original (long) line was bad.
