ValleyFan and I got our sunburn on on the Coronado side today. Great place to shoot from compared to last year. Glad we went!
Pics to follow. There's a buttload, so it'll take me a little while to get some processed and put up.

Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Bullets are cheap. Life is priceless.
This is just the first few of the (very few) really good ones. My white-balance was boogered all day long and I forgot to widen my focus area.
More here.
EDIT: Okay. All the decent ones are up.

Love the Green 99 plane! Seeing the guy in the cockpit really makes it cool! Nice Job.
Fantastic stuff, Glenn! I HAVE to go next year for sure.![]()
Awesome pics! Those guys were just amazing.
OK, here are some that I got, I wasn't to happy with the quality of the ef 100-400 I rented, so I didn't end up with as many keepers as I would have liked, but it was still a blast.

On the first run on Saturday for Peter Besenyie, did you see how low his wing was? It looked like he was about to touch the water. We got tickets in the Race Crew section. It was all you can eat and drink and the course was right out in front. They were great seats and we had a great time. Saturday was great weather and i am glad that we went then instead of Sunday. I think that we were right where you were aiming your camera in this shot.

Funny how we got two almost identical images of Orange #27 there, isn't it?
I'm still not happy with the white balance in most of my images. It is fixable, but it'll take time.
Sam, could you maybe tell me (in simple terms) how you designed that triptych you did for the "Primaries" photo challenge? I'd like to do one for some of these images.

Except yours is better
OK, my images are 4368 x 2912. At that size, just by futzing around a white outermost border of 120px looked good, and a black border of 80px looked good. So, for the vertical overall size it would be:
120px + 80px + 2912px + 80px + 120px = 3312px tall
Width:
120px + 80px + 4368px +80px + 4368px + 80px + 4368px + 80px + 120px = 13664px
I made a new blank file in Photoshop 3312px * 13664x, fill it with white. Select all (Ctrl + A), Select -> Modify -> Contract -> 120px, fill that with black. Now you can drop your photos directly on that, and you are done.
I have a more precise method of placing the photos if you need it, let me know if this version works for you or if you want the more detailed version (and a bit more round about) to get the images more precisely aligned.
