Are you going HDMI from the Roku box to your TV?
How about from the internet to the Roku box?
* Ethernet or wireless from a router?
* And another port from the router goes to your PC?
* Does your PC tie into the Roku directly in any way?
i don't have it. a buddy does
he streams it right from the router.
wireless performance is very good, wired ethernet is better.
i believe you can connect it but you dont have to*
*got a text back. you can connect it, you have to download a channel for the player like this one.http://www.chaneru.com/
I got one for wifey at Amazon and she loves it. It has real strong wi-fi so it gets the net very well from quite a distance. Has a lot of services but for some reason, no Youtube. I got it for Netflix since I am already subscribed. Works great.

No offense, RR, but here's another ad-hoc rule we ought to enforce around here: no more "I got this for the wife ...." nonsense. We buy electronic toys for us, and if the significant others want to come along for the ride, fine. The only thing one buys "for the wife" is tampons, flowers, or jewelry.
"Gee, I got my wife a one-year pass to the Bada-Bing club, but she didn't seem interested. So I guess I'll have to use it myself. Oh, Well."
