I have one, have used it many times, quality depends on your internet connection here and there, but has always worked well for me.
Like Blue said it is only as good as your Internet connection. That being said, I have had it since it was first introduced. Best thing since SPAM & donuts.

Don't forget you need a set box in the US. If someone else is using it at the same time you can't control it.
Many providers have or will have a setbox w/ dvr and slingbox all in one.
I don't have one but anytime I have seen one in use I am in awe.

Yeah, I have the Slingbox Classic and I love it. It's really great. Be careful with some of the newer ones, the Slingbox Solo (the bottom of the line) has had a bad history with blown out capacitors right as they have gone out of warranty. I would suggest a Squaretrade warranty; you can usually get them 30-40% off.
