the Xoom would be my choice right now. running Android 3.0 which is optimized for tablets. I don't like the smaller tablets, IMO anything under 8 inches is too small and over 10 is too big. really looking forward to see what the new HP has to offer as well.
Don't think its out yet but I love the Samsung "slide". Played with it at CES and fell in love

Just bought 2 tablets (Viewsonic Gtablet and ipad 1) and to be honest I can't see the difference between the two. The ipad is a lot prettier and smoother but the UI is just a bunch of blocks and I STILL HATE ITUNES. The Viewsonic Gtablet was more my cup of tea because I can root it and play around with it for days. The only major setback on the Gtab is the screen isn't very good when you view it at an angle but all in all they both do what my wife and I want so I can't really say which one wins.

    PS
SuxBeingU the Xoom is very sexy but Motorola priced itself out of the market. They should have gone with the 8GB or 16GB version since they also have a microsd slot.

As a gTablet owner, I completely agree with the screen. However, since it is a toy for ME, and I don't think I will ever use it to share with anyone while I am using it, I can overlook the issue.

I am now running VEGAN-Ginger Experimental with minimal issues.

Have you figured out how to get the Market to work on the Ginger Edition yet? I love how smooth that OS is but the lack of the Market app I had to go back to the Froyo Edition.

What's the difference between Viewsonic's gTablet and their ViewPad10?
Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Bullets are cheap. Life is priceless.

Pretty much. The ViewPad 10 is a Intel based tablet that Dual Boots Windows and Android 1.6 (not Froyo). I don't know how flashable the ViewPad is.

The list of My Apps is the only thing not working for me in the market. However, if I look for an app that I have installed, it shows up as "Installed" or "Update". Yes, it is tedious, but I am sticking with VEGAN Ginger a little longer as the day to day ROM. I can deal with some minor FC when using the stock browser or Dolphin HD Browser.

I am hoping for either a BETA release soon, or an update to the Sports Illustrated App for Tablets.

btw, I keep flipping between Celmsyn's and Pershoot's kernels..

I found the Amazon Marketplace to be working fine with Vegan's Ginger Edition.

Edit: A tad slow on the downloading but the apps show up correctly.

Stay away from the Xoom. Wait for Samsung and HTC releases in May/June or otherwise iPad 3 in September.
