My dad is looking for a laptop and interested in this model.

I told him for a couple bucks more he can get the DV6 per the LGK consenus but figured what the hell and open up this model to discussion either pro or con.
my hubby and I both have Toshiba Satellite laptops.. and we both love them. His is a 17in (i think) and far better than mine, I have a 14 in (no optical drive) the only complaint I have about mine (which i think is ONLY the model I have.. from my research) is that the speakers are weak, and the webcam is not so great... but other than that, it suits my needs.
The only other thing (if your dad is OCD) these laptops attract fingerprints...
Im using a Toshiba satellite right now, its been pretty good so far. I think we've had it for about a year or so. I have no major complaints about it. Its a good laptop for the $$$
i got one for christmas and i really like it. no problems. great lcd screen, speakers are not bad, web cam i don't use, the keyboard is lighted which i like and it is also nice to type on. 2 year factory warranty incl.
Toshiba laptops are usually pretty good. The one issue I have with them is their tech support kind of sucks.
had a toshiba satellite for about 5 years until it was outdated and i got a lenovo. i didn't have any problems & i actually liked it better than this new one.
The 6005 is great. I sell them a lot.
I got one a couple of years ago for $500 and the wife uses it more than her desktop. Never had a problem with it and it works flawlessly.
My mom's had a Toshiba laptop for about a year now and she uses it daily and we haven't come across any problems with it.
Makes me jealous as I type on my 2 months away from 7 year old desktop.
