Ive got an Onkyo600 series thats been very good to me over the years. It will be probably a long time before my next receiver sadly though. 5.1 Audio is an experience everyone should experience. Go get Queen a Night at the Opera or anything by Porcupine Tree. Its awesome. Congrats!

I was like HEY!! Where is the XM plug.. Then I quoted your message and saw the link of the picture, and it was from yamaha.co.jp... The XM is between the DOCK and Digital Coax inputs.

But yes, it does look cooler, and it doesn't light up blue when I have a DTS or Dolby 5.1 track on... Thankfully!!!

I will say it did do me right for 6 years. Can't hate Sony, as that was my 2nd one. I just decided it was time for me to step up.

Is it in 5.1 (either SACD or DVD-A??) As of tomorrow, I should be pretty much universal, except for Laser Disc, Cassette, Phono, and 8 track.

I should be able to play BD, HDVD, CD, SACD, DVDA.

For the last couple of years, when she leaves town I have upgraded the home PC. This year, it was the HT, but **** came in while she was home. She is now 35,000 feet at 610mph over Vegas on her way Charles deGaulle then on the Strasbourgh to begin her 14 day Wine trip with an importer.. Oh, the perks of her job.

So, what does everyone else have in their HT?

Unfiltered has a Denon 4308, dgrycan has an Onkyo 605, and Hip has an Onkyo 600 series...
