    Default Verizon FIOS

Our community is finally having fiber optic cable installed for Verizon FIOS. I know it's been around for a while, so, I thought I'd throw it out there for discussion.

Do you like, or dislike, and why?

    LOVE IT!!!!

    The pros are:

    25/15 Internet Speed.
    Tons of HD channels.
    Better PQ.

    The cons:

Verizon's DVR - 20 hours of HD recording MAX. No option to use the external ports on either the 7x16 or 6x16. Motorola hasn't figured it out. I hear a larger DVR is coming, but if you can afford a TiVO HD or XL, then get that.

The Guide sucks. FYI is a HORRIBLE provider.

I hear customer service and billing can be challenging, but I have yet to experience it.

I switched from Time Warner to FIOS a few months ago. Its good, but no better than my existing cable service.
And thats how you get ants!

If you bundle the services (Phone, Internet, TV) for a year, then the prices are pretty good. However, there is an Early Termination Fee if you cancel the service within that time frame.
