Here's a comparison list of what channels you can get (this info is from a month ago - DirecTV has added a few more RSN's that aren't on this list). FIOS offerings are under the "verizon" column.

Our neighborhood was laid with this when the houses went in. So as soon as someone advertised it (Verizon) I jumped on it.
We had Verizon before and it was great, but this is even better.

We don't have the cable package though, just phone and internet.

    Yep.

I now have to call Time Warner to get them to remove a double billed Center Ice. This is the second year in a row.

I can't wait for Verizon to announce that they have reached an agreement to carry NHL Center Ice. The day (or day after) I hear that announcement (provided it is after this hockey season), I am switching. I will patiently wait for the 150 HD channels they SAY they are going to add.

Having (from what I have read) better SD PQ and 15/2 Internet will make the waiting for HD tolerable.

    TWC is pissing me off.

Is satellite not an option for you?

Correct. It is not an option.

I am a lowly renter with no areas of exclusive access.
