It's a great phone/device... As long as you're always near a charger. :D
In my experience, though, having 4G turned on destroys battery life. Example, I've gone to a game at Staples Center, had the phone on the charger the entire drive, with a full charge. I turned on WiMAX while eating and left it on for the entire game, a few texts during the game back and forth to friends, etc, and I've had the yellow bar by the time a player gets outside for Kings Live. :/
I don't understand why someone would risk taking that expensive piece of technology to the gym like that. Yes, I was reading a book. But if my book gets stolen thats $15 for a book from Costco. If his iPad gets ripped off you know he'd lose his ****.
I get what you're saying. You don't sound like one of those "Apple fan boys." I appreciate the ease of use, I really do. But I have friends that are Apple fan boys and they are so damn annoying. I see a lot of that.
Having an EVO 4G doesn't have some of the same stigma attached to it as having an iPhone in a lot of people's eyes.
I will give Apple credit though. They make you believe that you MUST have their product. I've never extensively used and iPhone, iMac etc....And I honestly don't feel the need to. I love my Droid. Is the iPhone that much better? I'd say the one thing that the iPhone is far and away better at is its app market. Outside of that, I'll pass.
Never have had a PC, my first Apple was an Apple IIe. I was sick of waiting for iPhone on Verizon so I got an HTC Android and LOVE it, no regrets.
It's just a piece of technology, good for some things, not as good for others. Some of you really should try planting flowers or doing charity work to re-channel some of this hostility you feel towards a 2x5 inch piece of plastic & metal.
