I have Sprint and I've been with them for over 10 years. (Also with Verizon wireless for my work cell phone).
FYI for the IE
The only spotty area that I noticed is bad is that small stretch of the 10 freeway from Kellogg to Via Verde. Verizon gets a little static and Sprint is hit or miss. Other than that I travel constantly between Upland and Vegas and San Diego and haven't had any issues with Sprint.

I am secret asian man.
I've had Sprint for ten years and have never had a problem with coverage. Plans are cheap, unlimited data, 4g, and I get a 23% discount from my work. For a while the phone selection was lagging but they've picked it up. Love my Evo and I get to upgrade every year as a premier customer with the full discount.
You can now buy phones on Amazon for most major carriers. I highly recommend.

its good for a discount on plans.
basically the discount is 10 dollars a month per line. also you get an extra 50 minutes per line.
so instead of an everything data plan being 69.99 for 450 minutes you get 500 minutes for 59.99
and the family plan is 100 minutes for 129.99 so with this discount you get 1600 minutes for 109.99
however these are not comparable with corporate discounts so you might want to see if your employer offers anything.
also, spring seem to have discontinued basically all of the freebies so i wouldn't expect too much there.
edit: that 10 dollar discount basically pays for your 4g charge. so thats nice.
One thing I'll say for sprint, their coverage is what is it, but it doesn't change. When ATT got the iphone their network in SF has become the ****tiest in the nation. However every year at the kentucky derby sprint is the only network you can make a phone call on every year. (High density sporting events, try and make a call, its a bitch)
They also have a premium tier where you 1) Don't get sent to overseas call centers and 2) get phone upgrades every year.
