    are you dead set on the Vizio because of the fact that it's 60" for $1900? Or are you more about better overall quality set for around the same $$$ even if it's 50" - 52"?

    Well, the 42 and 50 inch 768p Kuors have been d/c.

    maybe a 42" kuro for the bedroom???? hmmm...

    i guess I should clarify; the 4280 and 5080 have been d/c. (The non-elite models).

    but yeah, I know 1080p or nothing..

    but 768p in the bedroom is better than 480i

    just say no to Vizio. i'd suggest a 50 inch panasonic 1080p plasma. the picture quality is amazing.

    not only should he say no to Vizio but he's only getting $100 off on a $2000 TV. Plus, it's only 720p and for a 60" television 720p won't look good unless you are sitting a considerable distance away.

    i suspect he'd be much happier with his smaller LG television for a little while longer than he would be by plunking 2 Grand on a Vizio.

    save your money and buy the set you want.
