How the hell do people get so many points? What do you need to do?

I have wondered this, as I really don't earn points, even though I use it every day. I think people who drive for a living and obsess over fixing the map, and/or spend a lot of time chatting with other users, get all these points. Somewhere in the app is a list that shows you a list of how many points for what actions. I think it's under Settings.

Just looked and it's under the help button. Yeah, it's mostly map editors that accrue all those points. F all that.

Both my wife and I use it. I got around a pile up on the 91 W a few weeks ago and saved about an hour.

I have used it in the past and I liked it. The only problem now is that I am no longer on an unlimited data plan and I am unsure on what the data usage is of the app. For the most part, I don't really need it but it is nice to have when I do need it.

Doing more research on it, I read that it sends super small 20 bit (yes BIT) packets every 30 seconds OR when conditions change, ie going from 70mph to 20mph on a 70mph Highway, they request the same 20 bit packets, more often. Obviously it recognizes something is wrong and reroute. 20 bit packages to their server is wayyyyy worth the info I pull off the app.
Seems if you use Google Navigator anyway, for say a 400 mile trip, your using just slightly over 1MB if traffic is nominal.
