Do you have a recently made thumb/jump drive lying around? Stick it in the computer and see if the option to configure the drive with Readyboost is available. If so, enable it. Keep in mind that you use up to half of the jump drive's capacity, and you will lose the ability to use this space as long as it's active with Readyboost. Also, you can use any size of jump drive, but most people seem to believe that any Readyboost available memory that goes above the amount of your system RAM is a diminished return. I have 4 GB of RAM and I use a 4GB drive to get 2GB of Readyboost, and it makes life easier on some programs that are known memory hogs.
On a side note, do a Disk Cleanup (Use ccleaner preferably) and run a registry check while you're in there.) Then don't forget a defrag. How often do you perform these regular maintenance tasks?
