Cool. The equivalent of a low level android phone running donut.

Hate to bump this up, but rather than starting a new one...
I have read nothing by positive reviews for Windows Phone 7, and have seen nothing that makes "Mango" something to fear (unlike other updates from Microsoft)...
I am now eligible for an upgrade, as my HTC Touch Pro 2 is a bit long in the tooth.
Since I am on Big Red, do I jump on the Trophy or do I wait for the fall and see if VZW releases any new WP phones with 4G?
Since I will use the phone primarily for work (for the data), how is the synching with Exchange Servers?
I am not a big app guy, so while it may be cool to have some apps, there are no apps that would be a deal breaker for me. What would be is the phone functionality. So, how does Windows Phone work as a phone (novel, I know...)?
I do not intend to do much if any streaming on the phone (corporate pays for the line directly), so LTE would fall into "nice to have" category.
(Yes, I have a Live ID and an XBOX).

I have one also. It's great. Fast, smooth, intuitive, battery life is excellent.
