Default Windows XP Folder help ....

In Windows Explorer's left-pane view of the directory structure, whenever I click to open a folder, it closes the last folder I'd previously opened. This is driving me nuts, as I don't want it to close anything (I'm fine with having a lot of folders in the 'expanded' state).

I've searched all around the control panel for a place where I can turn off this 'feature', but to no avail. Any ideas?

Do you happen to have Display Simple Folder View in Explorer's Folders List checked under Tools > Folder Options > View? If so, try unchecking it and see if that works.

    More info: simple folder view
