I personally prefer D-Link. I've never had a problem with any I've installed, and I've put in many for clients.

If you are going to buy brand new I would suggest you go with any 802.11n router now since that is the latest and greatest you can buy. If you want an inexpensive one I have a Linksys 802.11g router and USB adapter lying around the house you can have for the cost of shipping.
Your gaming experience is likely to not be as good on a wireless connection as it would be on a wired one. That is, if you can find the 3 other people who have their ps3's online in the first place...![]()

that shouldn't be a problem on a 802.11n though. The speed should be fast enough to avoid any lag whatsoever. Also, the routher I suggested gives priority to the gaming console so that performance doesn't drop in the event someone on a pc starts to download a torrent or something.
