Bought a Sandisk Cruzer for additional memory for the Xbox360 but alas it is not being recognized. Is there a special USB port on the Xbox itself or something I am doing wrong? It is not being recognized at all.

What...no Xbox360 players here?
I think they are all in the gamer talk forum. I thought the only way to increase memory for the Xbox was to buy a bigger hard drive but i am no expert.
D'oh....good idea. thanks bob.
try formatting the USB Stick by going to the "Memory" panel and then it should work. I believe the most you can get is 16GB no matter how big the memory stick/HD is. Hope that helps.
Still having issues?
Try an external HD. I'm not sure a USB stick will work for what you want. You can get a Newegg.com - SAMSUNG S2 320GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive HX-MU032DA/G22 cheap.
I'm using an external HD and it works fine. I belive swapping out the HD in the Xbox voids the warranty unlike the PS3.
Patriot 16GB flash worked! Sandisk wasnt recognized at all so swapped it with a patriot which worked like a charm. Great because we had free game downloads but not enough memory to store them...until now that is!
What happened to the Playstation? Damn you.
