Well it looks like the decision has been made for me. I was at my nieces house today and was talking to her boyfriend about HD TV's. He was telling me he has a budy who works at Bestbuy and was gonna hook him up. I mentioned i was looking to buy XM/Sirius and he says "hold that thought", goes into his bedroom and comes out with a Delphi XM2GO MYFi receiver and hands it to me. Says its been in his closet for a while and he has no use for it.

So now i'm a proud owner of an XM satellite receiver, free of charge, all i have to do is activate and pay for service.

I think you'll be happy with XM. Unless you are a huge Howard Stern fan or plan on being in your car a lot on Sundays (NFL) XM is the way to go. If the merger happens it might not matter anyways.

I can't stand all the crap on the other 2.
Sometimes, if I remember to change the channel, its to the 80's and 90's.

I just hate having to change the channel all the time. Its like listening to the radio.

The rest of the stations only play a small assortment of songs I know or like so I don't bother listening to them. The Beefy German loves 41.

That's how you find new music to like.

I've listened to them and I don't like what they play. Every station now plays Carrie Underwood and her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. I've switched over to my Ipod now and only turn XM on for the games. I don't like ecletic music. I'm very particular.

I mean maybe you should try some other stations. I can honestly say that I listen to a lot of different stations and I have never once heard Carrie Underwood. Ever.

The biggest knock I have with Sirius is that their DJ's will NOT shut up... especially on the decades channels. Terrible.

I have Sirius in the BMW and XM at home.

I like both. Of course, I listen to XM's Home Ice constantly.

Soon they will be one anyway I guess.

If you are a UPS driver you need to listen to Howard. The show is so great that it is now uncensored. Too funny to ignore and it's 24/7. Ferral is on there as well and he talks puck.
