How about an app to crash your computer? Actually it creates a problem apparently not anticipated by Apple. It is an unusual situation but it was a big headache for me. Even the Apple techs were stumped.
I have the iTouch (2nd gen) running the new 3.0 OS. It used to work fine but then suddenly after loading the 3.0 OS, whenever I tried to sync it, my Windows XP computer would suddenly give me the blue screen of death. The Windows diagnosis was driver incompatibility. I tried everything from uninstalling or disabling drivers to reinstalling iTunes and teaking settings with an Apple tech on the phone. Nothing worked.
The problem? My kids loaded a popular app called "Spin Art" which creates and saves pictures on the iTouch. When the iTouch is then connected to a pc, the computer's plug and play device detection (and/or Apple mobile media manager) thinks it has found a new digital camera device.... problem is the iTouch has no camera and thus the system crashes. Once you delete Spin Art and pictures it generated from you photo albums, everything works fine again. Weird.
I just got my first iPhone and I can't wait to check some of these out.
The Hells Kitchen one is pretty good to pass some time.
Anyone try the TOM TOM app yet? I looks pretty good, but at $100, I don't see myself buying it anytime soon.
