Saturday mornings pretty much died. I don't know why. I hoping with the winter the guys will start showing back up. But yes the morning was a stronger level pick up then the friday night.
well, depending on the tee time i get for saturday morning i may be there friday night
2 goalies 12 skaters.... Another night of good fun.
Rink management in SoCal is just off the charts when it comes to bad business decision-making. I mean, how much effort would it take to have a rink attendent (who otherwise stand around and do nothing most of the time) set the timer/buzzer before a pickup game?
First, We are not children we are adults we should be able to manage our game without a supervisor.
Secondly, I know its frustrating when there are coaster's on the ice. We just need to take it upon ourselves to guide these players into skating harder and taking shorter shifts. its the only way they will learn.
Thirdly, It's frustrating when the coaster's complain that they don't get equal time with the puck. They need to learn that putting forth the effort helps them become part of the game which equals more time with the puck.
Fourthly, Don't expect to get the puck if your not willing to put in the effort. Pretty much a repeat of third.
thats the way we do it sunday mornings at culver and it works out great.
i know it sucks that were all adults and nobody takes charge, but thats how it happens at unorganized pickup all over. not just anaheim. ive run into that problem at logitech in san jose, khs, anaheim ice and in ventura.
