Best stick time for an absolute beginner
I started skating a while ago, (I'm 46) and am starting to feel a bit more comfortable on skates, but I still have not braved a stick time. I usually skate at Toyota Sports Center, and when I check out the stick time, I see ECHL warm ups, and guys who look like they have been playing their whole life.
I'm looking for a stick time where I can practice skating with the puck, (for the first time) and shooting. I'd like not to get in everyone's way, or be the only one there who learned as an adult.
I live in El Segundo, and travel up to the Valley occasionally for family, and I am willing to try very early or very late times to get the right place to go. Any suggestions for a fat old guy who has been on skates for a few months? Thanks for any and all assistance!
