We need pics. I want swelling and nasty bruising!

I only have a pic of the splint and then my cast. The swelling wasn't too crazy, nor was the bruising.

Ouch! Hope it's feeling a little better.
So painful. I went to the foot doc once cause I was convinced a bone was broken, it wasn't.

thanks for all if the well wishes. I'm going in Monday to see about getting this hard cast removed and into a Velcro Boot. I've been able to put a little but if weight on it and actually take some steps without the crutches. Im able to position my right foot in a way where the weight is more on the front of my foot. They gave me a Velcro sandal type of thing that attaches to the foot portion of the cast, which makes it a "walking cast".
I've spent all week elevating it and staying off of it as much as possible. I'll let you guys know what happens on Monday.

Went in this morning and the Dr. was cool with removing the cast and having me go with a pneumatic velcro walking boot for the remainder of the rehab which should be another 6 weeks. I will continue to use crutches and apply mild to moderate pressure from time to time. My wife always takes play-by-play pix of these events.

Does that provide you with any super powers?

Making more progress, the last couple of days I experimented here and there with using just one crutch. Im surprised at how well that went. No real pain, but I'm also very gentle and careful with how I place my foot with each step. (still in the walking boot for another 4 weeks I believe)
After I left the Kings practice I stopped by Jakes Pro Shop and picked up a pair of Skate Fenders. They were ribbing me a little about how it is possible to break your foot in a beer league game, it was all in good fun.
