It worked awesome actually. Everything turned out clean, and the water was disgusting. I honestly didn't think it was "that" dirty, but apparently I was wrong.
I put a half cup of softener in the tub as well. I didn't want it smelling too girlie, but I wanted to make sure it didn't smell like a foot either.
Definitely recommend it.
(And ya, I air dried it).
After we were evacuated during the San Diego wildfires I bought an expensive air purifier with an ozonator(sp?) to get rid of the smoke smell in the house. I now hang my gear in my worthless 1 car garage with air purifier on and it has been keeping my gear fresh ever since.
Some of the goalies that I have played with swear by the cleaning companies that come by the local rinks from time to time. I have never done that because turnaround time is a few days.
