Okay....offical report post game. I got a little fog as I explained ^. Overall though, its a great mask. I wiped it down during each intermission and was good to go. Overall its a great mask, better than the full shield, better than the cage and more protection than the halfer.

    I recommend.

Yes, I have. I ordered it last Friday and should receive it tomorrow (according to the UPS tracking number). I've never used a combo shield, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I'll write up my thoughts about the product.

I ordered the Oakley combo shield, but no one seems to have it in stock. At the $40 price point, I figure it's worth trying out this Boulder combo shield and, hopefully, allow me to just cancel my order on the Oakley.

Ordered the combo shield on 5/14 and received it 5/21. Easy install (Large Bauer 5500) and finally got a chance to try it out tonight.

For background purposes, it was outdoor roller hockey on a fair cool night. Only been playing 4-5 years and have always worn a full cage, so I have no comparison to shields or combo shields.

I had zero issues with fogging. I'll be curious to see if this is the case when it gets hotter and a bit more humid. I sweat quite a bit, so I was concerned about both fogging and dripping, but I was really surprised about how clean the view was for the entire game. I didn't have to clean it up at all during the game.

Maybe it's because I'm used to wearing a full cage, but I didn't notice the small cage under the shield at all. I've heard how some combo shields have cages underneath that are actually a hindrance when you looked straight down, but that wasn't the case at all with this combo shield.

I have another game Wednesday night, so if anything changes, I'll post about it then but, as of right now, I have to say that I'm pretty happy with the purchase. If the pro shop from which I ordered the Oakley combo shield still hasn't located one for me, I'll definitely cancel that order and stick with the Boulder product.

I'm really liking mine so far after 3 or so weeks. I've played 3 games, 2 P/Us, 7-8 sticktimes, 1 lesson in it. During games, or any situation where you're breathing harder and sweating a lot (which I do), I have to wipe it down maybe during each intermission at most. Other than that, the fog is pretty minimal and I spray the fog-free on it every other outing or so to lessen it even more. The grid free vision is so nice to have back.
