I'd just like to step in and ask that we consider those who don't have a lot of money to spend on these. I know some of those who didn't play in the tourney were concerned about the money, and that's why they chose to sit it out. I'm sure there's another group that would prefer not to spend that a lot of money on the jerseys and/or socks now.
Might I suggest that those who are looking into what types of designs we can get also look into price ranges? I'm not trying to create any more work for anybody. I'm actually really impressed and appreciative of all the work that's already gone into this. I'm just trying to make it as available as possible.
...Maybe a simpler design, possible black and white. Maybe some simple shapes and just a small crown and the letters "LA" in there would make it more widely appealing.
No, scratch that. That idea was lame...
Anyways, there were some discussions of what type of jerseys may be available early in the thread, so maybe we can take a look at a few options.
As for the design itself, I like it. Really hoping we can get this going.

There are plenty of people who haven't weighed in on the mock up jersey, and we haven't even heard if RR is cool with us using it. Once he gives a yay or nay on his logo, we'll start a seperate thread just for the LGK jersey and let everyone vote on the price range/colors/logos and whatever else. I'm sure plenty of our regular players haven't been checking in on the tourney thread.
Haha. What fish said. Can somebody tell me why the **** my return key doesn't show up in this new format on the first try
Lappy, can us fans of TEAM LGK purchase jerseys if we get RR's approval? If so , I want number 86.
If you make the return key actually skip down to the next line each time I push it, and actually stay that way when it goes to print, you can have anything you want.

I'm just having fun with the jersey ideas.
I'll buy anything that gets picked.
It seems like if we go the sublimated route, then anyone who wants one will be able to buy their own.
If we go with a patch or screenprinting, then anyone who pays up before the order goes in can have one.
As far as the numbers go, I was also goofin when I called dibs on the 22. I had figured we'd buy 1-20 in dark and light, and then pass em out when we got them.
But since more people are attatched to their # than I had figured on, I guess we'll have to work that out.
Probably just make a roster like Michelle does for the game threads and update it as people buy the jersey number.
Im just bein nosy. I sent the email to Marcelo to get pricing.
I think sublimation is a great value for the price because you get a long lasting, long wearing, great quality jersey. It will last you for years and look exactly the same as the first day. However, I realize not everyone will have $70+ for sublimated jerseys and sock kits. I paid $85, but that was for a custom designed one off that was also XXL for a goalie.
In my experience, a "less expensive" standard mesh jersey blank will be in the range of $13-20 depending on mesh weight, company and number of jerseys in the order. Add to that the cost of screening... that will vary depending on whether you're using a 1 or 2 color screen. Add to that numbers and names and you're in the zone of $60 for what started out as a discount jersey. That could drop as low as $40-50 depending on the number of jerseys purchased in the first batch to get that break. Keep in mind for those, that any orders that come in after the original the price WILL go back to the one off charge if you're less than a certain number for a team sale. That's a standard across the board when dealing with screening and heat press.
Sublimation is a digital process that can be saved on a computer and held for later use whereas screens can only be burned once and have a very short shelf life. Any screen designs will have to be remade for future orders and subsequently that cost will be passed on to the new order. Think of all the options and get as many quotes and numbers as possible. :)
Im not on the team, so I know my word doesnt go very far. I just have quite a bit of experience (as Im sure many many of you all do also) dealing with different vendors and designing and ordering jerseys for teams and sports leagues so... I just wanna throw out suggestions and make sure people are making informed decisions if they happen to not have that kinda experience with these things.
Oh, and I stole the gold jersey idea as a place for JA to start. Maybe, you guys should get Team LGK together (via PM maybe?), including the usual pick up players and hash out which designs you'd want first? Then once there's a design it's easier to take that design to artists/companies and get quotes for jerseys. Do you want a white and a black with a logo (presumably standard mesh) or do you want a single higher quality jersey that is distinctive so you more than likely wont ever have to change jerseys if you dont want to??
Well, the ghetto fab purple and gold ones a few pages back, or anything else we make with one solid color mesh jersey, + one solid color logo, + heat pressed numbers = $14 per shirt. Unless I'm misreading something on the hockeytron site. As was pointed out, it looks like a 14 dollar jersey, but it could be done for cheep if that's what people want.
I think if we're going through the trouble, we might as well get something fun. Otherwise, just stick with the idea of wearing Kings jerseys since most people already have em.
There really shouldn't be an issue with numbers. While it mattered during the tourney, it simply doesn't matter for those of us who would be wearing it around. I do like the idea of us keeping track of those who plan on playing on future LGK tournament teams to avoid any conflict in the future there, but otherwise, I don't care if some random person happens to also wear my number.
They just need to pay a nominal royalty.
I'd say we make a new thread after this happens:
1. We get permission from RR to use the logo/name. I like the shield. If the more elabotate one is going to be expensive, we can use the one Lappy came up with, or, hell, have people submit a simple and we vote on it.
Then we can look into cost options and see what would work for people.
Rue, your input is more than welcome. Let us know what you hear.
Who was the one that asked Mike, anyway?
I brought up the cheap route earlier. But there didn't seem to be any support, and the fancy ones were more exciting, so I guess the first step will be figuring out how many people are serious, and of those how many would be out as the price goes up. I'll start the thread so we can start figuring that out while we wait on the logo ruling from RR.
We can always have a bake sale
I'll make the cookies!
