from those pictures, it still looks like it's a little under the chin. i was told when i was a kid to go between the nose and chin but felt that was too long. i've been doing it under my chin ever since. but the only picture that looked up to his chest was brett hull and he seems to use short and flexy sticks. everyone else looks right at their throat or chin. or am i just looking at the pics wrong?

I've heard that chin on skates thing too... I've always done chin/mouth with no skates... Has always worked for me... Honestly it's preference. but for kids sake, I'd say chin/mouth no skates...

It just depends on your feel. Willie Mitchell uses a large stick on the ice, I doubt his is under his chin.

Oscar Moller uses a stick that is taller then him.

It's been a common observance that my stick has been longer than most, but it works because I know how to handle it.

I generally go just under the chin (with skates of course).

The "problem" is that for several of my sticks, the blade length can vary by up to 1 or 2 inches, so the chin length will make for different length sticks. ???

For an aluminum shaft and a composite shaft, I had to put in new inserts at the top when certain mfr's stick blades got a bit longer (I mean shorter).

short version: just under the chin works fine for me...

i cut mine at my top lip when im off skates, generally goes a little below my chin with skates on
