dryland training for beer leaguers?
Does anyone know if there's formal programs of dryland training for beerleaguers? All the online stuff for programs appears to be for "elite" level folks or youth players.
Searched the forum and saw the strong recommendations for Pilates and plan on trying to add that. (thanks PITA)
I was hoping someone out there has signed up for one of the online routine generators to see if it's worth the while or just another way to waste money.
Mostly due to having small children I'm looking for something I can incorporate into a home workout so I can devote 20-30 minutes here and there to keeping in shape for games. I don't have 2-3 hours to go to a gym and do a routine on a daily basis.
Typically I'll get out for a 3 mile run and some stretching on off days I'll do ballistics exercises (lunges, squat jumps, skips etc)
Anything else that anyone can recommend into a tight schedule that might be more hockey specific? I'm down for using a mat or a medicine ball. Unfortunately building a weight room is out of the cards. I have some dumbbells that I incorporate but I'd say they are not suitable for lifting.
