I haven't tried it, but I doubt it works. Nothing works on the funk. You just have to live with it.
Don't fight the funk. Own it.

Yeah, I actually feel that the 'funk' gives me a certain power on the ice. In fact my gear is still relatively new so its yet to take on said 'funk' and I'm pretty frustrated about it. I'm even trying to NOT air my stuff out after games and letting it steam in my bag....call me sick but I love the smell.

I am not feeling teh funk, sorry fellas.

The best thing I have found to get rid of funk is to let your gear bake in direct sunlight. That coupled with Febreze has worked really well for me.

I know that doesn't help when it's raining out. But, if you have a deck and it turns sunny, try throwing your gear out there and letting it sit for a day or two.

This method has been my anti-stank routine as well. The Febreze Sport works well and has a less girlie smell than the regular formula. A good dose of sunshine keeps the mold away too. Think about the person next to you on the bench and practice good gear hygiene.

Airing gear out every skate and good ole Lysol does the trick for me.

I like to be as stanky as possible, as to have an advantage in the faceoff circle and in front of the net.

I count it as an assist if the goalie passes out from me standing there
