I got this email today and thought I would pass it on.

I was hoping you could help us spread this information anyone on your hockey distribution list that you feel would be interested...

Myself and friend have only been playing hockey for a couple of years and are always looking for ways to improve our game. We have put together the Novice Hockey Development League (NHDL), which has partnered with Simi Valley Iceoplex and ex-professional player and coach Steve Phillips to provide what we hope is an exciting new way to develop hockey skills and improve ones overall game. We are offering a 21 week program, with openings for 39 players and 3 goalies. The players will be divided into 3 teams and every Tuesday at 8:00 two of the teams will meet for a "pickup game", refereed by Steve Phillips. At 9:30, the third team will have a clinic in which Steve Phillips will work on all aspects of the game. The schedule will rotate so that every player gets 7 cycles of 2 weeks of pickup and 1 week of clinic. Teams will be shuffled a few times so that everyone gets an opportunity to play with all players. The cost for this league will be $515 for skaters, $200 for goalies.

This league is intended as a "less competitive" environment for lower level players to work on their game skills in both game and clinic situations. A positive attitude is required and better players will be expected to help along more novice players by involving them in plays during games. The league is capped at 39 players and we will be taking players on a first come - first served basis. Please email us at NHDL@novicehockey.com for more information. To register submit the attached registration form to NHDL@novicehockey.com or submit an online application at Novice Hockey. Once registered, you will be notified if there is slot available to you prior to an informational meeting at Iceoplex on Tuesday the 8th of March at 7:00 pm. Full payment will be expected prior to or at this meeting.

Thank you,
Timothy Romig.
