Since most of the teams know each other and are friends, it is very much like a pickup style type play with referees and timekeepers. No hard core hooking, "hitting", proving how low your sack hangs, etc.

I think this first season is going to be a test of sorts to build out the league and get players, so all teams are being flexible and having fun playing. you can't be talking about you - pushing 50? you aren't that old!
there are a number of 40+ year olds out there.
