High school roller hockey spring season in Irvine - need a few more combo players
In case anyone is interested, or knows someone who might be...
I am the coach for the Irvine Combo high school roller hockey team (for players who don't have enough players to form a "pure" team at their high school) of the Interscholastic Hockey Federation (IHF), based out of the Irvine Inline facility. We've had a very successful year so far, taking first place in the JVA regular season, winning the combo championship, and then winning the Varsity championship in the State Cup tournament this past weekend.
For the upcoming spring season, we are moving up to the Varsity division. The other three Varsity teams are Brea High School, Edison High School, and Damien High School. Unfortunately, while it's great that Brea High School was able to revive their team, it also meant that we lost two of our strongest players from the past season that go to school there. We currently have six skaters confirmed, but we would like to have at least eight, possibly up to ten. If you are interested - or if you know someone else who might be - drop me an email at jpaerels@aol.com.
The cost for the spring season is $175 (payable to Irvine Inline, formerly 949 Skating Center), and includes 10 games (starting next Thursday, March 15, but the days will vary) and 10 practices (starting next Monday, March 12), probably all at Irvine Inline (but possibly at Corona or Huntington Beach).
Thanks!
John
