    Default Hockey Helment And Glasses

I've been buying all the gear needed to play hockey.
My helmet just arrived a Bauer 4500 and one of the things I noticed was my glasses. I'm not sure if I should be wearing them or get sport goggles, which I think is probably a better idea and no I don't use contacts.

Does anyone else wear glasses with a helmet? If so what do you do?

I wear glasses underneath my mask. You can buy a defogging spray but that only works about half the time. Would love to buy sport goggles but don't have the $200+ to pay for them.

Can you skate without glasses? That's what I do, my vision is not that bad but I know it effects my hand eye coordination with the puck at times. Like you I can't get past the reflex so I don't wear contacts.
I've seen guys skate with wire rims and the sports goggles. Everyone has fogging problems just depends on if it's worth it to you.

I play with glasses and a cage. They do not fog up on the ice (in motion) because the cold temperature acts like a defroster/ defogger. I cut a thin line in to the sides of the helmet with a razor blade. my glasses then fit in those grooves, it takes time but it may be worth it depending on how your glasses fit. If you have any questions, let me know! - K>D

i never had a significant problem with wearing glasses under my lid. i just used croakies to keep them snug. but i will strongly advise you to switch to contacts. it's a completely different game.
I will ****ing hip check the **** out of you.
