All any goalie needs is the ability to skate backwards four feet and a good split.

I call "Roller Hockey Goalie."

Trying doing cross over shuffles w/ pads on from post to post mid play, then tell me your balance and edge control doesn't have to be totally and completely superior to players.

Playing in goal makes me -way- better at skating out.

pick up hockey. borrow pads. good times.

Actually, the comparison is night and day.

Ask anyone who plays both. It's the entire reason I've never bothered to play roller in goal.

It might as well be a different position or sport all together.

Mind you, I am not trying to downplay being a roller goalie, Im sure there are a host of issues (heat for one) that you guys have to deal with that I never will.

the mobility, is entirely different.

Your entire previous post is downplaying it. Especially the part about you never bothering. Im not completely foreign to ice hockey. As a matter of fact, I did that first. The differences in mobility (to me, anyway) had more to do with the slide that ice provides that a roller surface does not and compensating for that. The actual change in mobility due to skating was no more or less for me than what skaters have described going back and forth from ice.

It's whatever, though. We get it. LeatherMFFace is too good for roller. Get in line with the other L3375 paying $20 a head for pickup with ****tards like LATeddy. I'll stick to my $5-10 roller game where everyone skates their fill and leave you with this.
