Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone you know who might be interested. Although none of the rinks are in LA county, players are still welcome if they don't mind the drive (we live in Rowland Heights).

The IHF (Interscholastic Hockey Federation) is a high school roller hockey league based out of Corona, Irvine, and Huntington Beach. There are four divisions for "pure" teams (all players from same high school), and as of last year, a combo division for any player who: a) doesn't have enough players to form a team at his or her high school; b) is cut from tryouts for a regular team; c) is home schooled.

Evaluations for ALL prospective combo league players will be held at 949 Hockey Center in Irvine on Saturday, September 17, and Sunday, September 18, at 4:00 PM. You only need to attend one or the other, NOT both. All registration materials and fees are due no later than the evaluation skate you attend OR you can email the materials to the IHF Registration Desk ( All forms (registration, waiver, conduct) are available on the IHF website (IHF High School Roller Hockey Home Page)

Since this year the league will be putting together ALL of the combo teams, there is no team fee option, and all combo players will pay a $325 individual fee. This will include:
1. 15 practices at the team's home rink (either Corona, Irvine, or Huntington Beach, depending on geographic location of majority of players on a team)
2. 5 preseason games
3. 10 regular season games (at least half at team's home rink)
4. at least 1 playoff game

Teams will be put together based on:
1. Same school (if 5 or less, otherwise would be placed into a "pure" division)
2. Same school district
3. Same geographic area (last year my son and 2 other Rowland High kids were placed with kids from Diamond Bar and Corona)

Jerseys will be provided by the league via the Ducks (), BUT they will be returned to the league at the end of the season. Seniors will have the option of purchasing their jerseys ($50 for the pair).
