Oh hell...why not? In!

I just hope it doesn't interfere with 2 things...Frozen Fury and the annual Friday night Hofbrauhaus festivities! But since I don't gamble...much...this sounds awesome!

Oh yeah, if we have an early Sat game someone might have to pick me up from the sidewalk next to the hofbrauhaus. I have been known to wake up there.

Well crap, howard had to drop out for the economics of it all. I'm working on a backup plan

This weekend is going to get expensive but I'm looking forward to it.

The few times I have gone to FF, the only focal point to me is the Hofbrauhaus, and the festivities, but it only lasts for a short time.

If I am playing in the tourney, I could careless about the FF game., it's preseason. However, other players my not feel the same.
I will stay at any Hotel/Casino that either gives me a free room or a good deal. More or less Downtown,or South Point, M Resort, TI, ect.

If you drive out or rent a car, you are good.
Taxi is NOT a good option, and a city bus (great from Downtown to Fiesta and back, is cheap) is NOT an option to Vegas ice, trust me.

My opinion

I had already book Fri/Sat at the MGM for FF so I just added Thursday night on my reservation. Not sure if anyone else is staying there but I wanted to be a high roller that weekend. =)

How do the game times normally work? I mean, are we likely to have a game during Frozen Fury?

The usual pattern is three games, round robin, with the second and third place teams playing a playoff game on Saturday night. I've already talked to the tournament organizer about it and we should be able to work around Frozen Fury without too much difficulty, as it would only interfere with a playoff game should we need to. The most likely scenario is we end up playing a late thursday night game, one on friday afternoon and one on Saturday morning. The playoff game would likely be around either 5 or 1030 on saturday night if we needed to work around frozen fury

Of course, we should just win our 3 round robin games so we don't have to worry about it
