Thread: Las Vegas Hockey Tournament - Frozen Fury Weekend!

Hey all,

I talked to Fishy today about putting a team together for Las Vegas which just happens to fall on the same weekend as Frozen Fury. He is taking a break after Phoenix, so I am putting the money in for a spot tomorrow.

We should be playing roughly at the same level the LGK team played at in Phoenix, so pretty much anyone from the LGK pickups won't be out of their depth one way or another.

The cost per player is $160 (tournament only) and there will be hotel package deals as usual. Non players can room in too, if anyone needs a room for Frozen Fury. I'll post the link as soon as all that info is up

The majority of the games will be down on the strip, but the Fiesta also has a rink in it and is about 20 minutes north of the strip on the 95

ANOTHER NOTE: We will likely have a game late Thursday (after 9 or so) to offset having the time set aside for Frozen Fury, so keep that in mind

Got the Memo in the US postal mail yesterday and was thinking the same. I'm in.

I spoke to LGK's resident Samurai goaltender last night and he is in as well. The only other spot held is for a friend of mine who may be coming from Chicago. His wife of many years died earlier this year and if he comes this will be his first real time out since, I hope that's ok with everyone.

Yup. There's a possibility of a game late Thursday depending on team availability, but that's something Dave will negotiate with each team captain. If there is a Thursday game, it wouldn't be until late, giving people time to get there and settled into their hotel rooms first. Essentially it's the same setup as Phoenix, just late Thursday through Sunday instead of Late Friday through Monday. I'm already negotiating with him to make sure that there is enough time blocked off for Frozen Fury since the majority of the team would, I suspect, be attending

Hmmm, this sounds more and more interesting. I may be on board, have to check the finances first though.

Oh yeah. I'd totally play as long as I'm not taking the spot of someone who, you know, is actually decent.
