I've played several times at FF. 2 years ago at Royal Links (we started on the 10th; it is a replica of the Road Hole at St. Andrews and you have to tee off over a huge sign to a blind fairway. All the holes there are copies of holes from British Open venues) and last year at Bali Hai.
It took a 45 min - 1 hr (with the traffic) cab drive to get to Royal Links. Bali Hai is a 5 min. ride (located south of Mandalay Bay). Both courses were memorable (and expensive).
I'd probably give the nod to Bali Hai, due to the convenience factor. My wife and I are going up that Thursday afternoon. I normally have played golf on the Friday before the game.
I'm currently waiting for the maintenance schedules to be disclosed on www.gsglv.com/Maintenance.asp (that will let me know when the courses will reopen after the summer hiatus). Nothing up yet, so I may need to call Bali Hai to see if their timeline has been created.

I'll book the reservations if anyone wants to get a foursome together (assuming the course has opened by that week, of course). Let me know if you're interested...
Sorry, but I'm out. I'm scheduled for Sundays, starting in a week.
Alcohol is mandatory at LGK golf. It helps dull the pain. And then Mi Casa afterwards for some good Mexican food!
I called Bali Hai today (as the maintenance schedule still isn't up) and asked if the course was going to be open on 9/21/07 (the Fri. before the game). The guy said he thought that the overseeding would be done in August, and that there was no blackout on the date requested.
I'm set up for an 8:30 time, if anyone cares to join me.
The greens fee is $319.00.
Since the maintenance schedule is dependent on the weather, the starting time isn't yet cast in stone. I'll be checking periodically between now and then and keep everyone apprised of the status.
Hope the 30 - 40 mph gusts aren't here this year...
