    Default Looking for a team

I'm 19 years old and have been out of competitive hockey for close to a year due to my lung collapsing. I've been getting back on the ice lately, and working out some kinks, and I'm feeling ready to play at a higher level again.

I've been planning on checking out a Long Beach State game to see how that looks.

Michigan was always my #1 choice, because of they're dominance, and they seem to love having the small, fast, italian forward every year or so. (Cammalleri, Tambellini, Cogliano)

Outside of the collegiate level, I really have NO IDEA where I could play a good level of hockey, especially living in Southern California.

Any suggestions or advice would help, thanks.

    This guy ....

.... does an awesome job of (a) making sure every game has a 2-minute shift timer and (b) keeping the grade-A talent (you, if you played serious travel hockey) seperate from the grade-B talent (me; middle-aged and one step above novice).

Do you have to know somebody and get "invited" to play in this, or is it first-come, first served?

Long Beach State is a Divison 3 collegiate team, but many compare it as a travel team, just like USC, UCLA, UCR, and so forth.

At Anaheim Ice, there are a couple of adult leagues that are pretty decent. The highest competition is the elite league, which is for collegiate players/collegiate coaches. The league below is the intermediate league, which I use to play in, but I skipped this long season. The next season starts May/June if you're interested because we're trying to get a team together again.
